Purpose:
This skin refinement treatment aims to accelerate the removal of dry, dead skin cells that contribute to a lackluster complexion and uneven texture. Additionally, the procedure stimulates the generation of new skin cells and aids in the elimination of pore-trapped debris.
Indications:
Ideal for individuals with dry, flaky, coarse, or mature skin seeking texture improvements. Also recommended for addressing some effects of sun damage. The glycolic exfoliation is beneficial for those undergoing acne care, as the thinner stratum corneum enhances the penetration of other topical agents and helps maintain clear pores. It stimulates new cell production.
Contraindications:
The glycolic facial procedure is not advisable for individuals who are excessively exposed to direct sunlight, irrespective of SPF use. The use of retinoid products may render glycolic applications unnecessary. Refrain from applying on irritated, sensitive, sunburned skin, or open lesions. It is not recommended for clients with highly active acne conditions, acne rosacea, or a known sensitivity to glycolic acid. Clients should incorporate a glycolic home care product into their routine for at least two weeks before undergoing a professional-strength glycolic peel. A patch test to determine sensitivity should precede all professional-strength peel applications.
Treatment Steps:

Begin by removing eye makeup with Pure Glow Aloe & Cucumber Makeup Remover and Herbal Eye Makeup Removerapplied to a cotton pad. Preheat the facial steamer during this time.

Cleanse the face, neck, shoulders, and décolleté with Pumpkin & Cinnamon Cleanser (warm between palms before applying). Use ample tepid water during this step. Remove thoroughly with damp sponges.

Tone the skin using Mandarin & Grape Hydrating Elixir Toner

Apply a small amount of MD PrePeel Solution to the face and neck on a cotton pad. Let it dry thoroughly.

Before applying MD Glycolic Acid Peel (or for more delicate skin MD Lactic Acid Peel), explain to the client that they may feel a tingling or mild stinging sensation for a couple of minutes when the product is on.Pour 1-2 teaspoons of MD Glycolic Acid Peel into a glass bowl. Use two long-handled cotton swabs and dip into the bowl. Apply glycolic solution in a counter-clockwise manner. Allow the solution to remain on the skin for 3-5 minutes. If excessive stinging or irritation develops, remove the exfoliant immediately with MD Peel Neutralizer.

Apply MD Peel Neutralizer to treated areas using a cotton pad, working quickly.Go over the treated area with sponges and cool water to further ensure complete removal of the product. Use patting and pressing rather than wiping motions.

Apply Desincrustation Gel with a brush in a thin layer to the face and, if necessary, the neck for future extractions. Apply steam for 10 minutes to soften plugs and liquefy sebum. Remove with warm damp sponges.Perform extractions as needed. Since the skin is more fragile at this point, keep extractions to a minimum. Avoid manipulating or scraping the skin.

Apply to the extracted area Clarifying Salicylic Toner.

Use the Kaolin Mineral Purifying Mask, applying it to the entire face and covering the face with a warm, wet towel. You can use light steam on the towel. Remove the mask after 7 minutes.

Apply Vitamins Boost Nourishing Mask to the face and neck. For dry skins, mix equal parts Vitamins Boost Nourishing Mask and Botanical Revive Mask Allow 15 minutes for this step. During the first 5 minutes of mask application, perform a neck and shoulder massage. Use the remaining time to prepare a home care recommendation sheet. Check the client's comfort before leaving the room; dim the lights.

You can use the Beauty Ultrasonic Spatula to gently remove the mask. Afterward, rinse away the mask thoroughly with sponges and warm water. Next, apply a towel wet with ice water to create a cooling compress for 5 seconds on the face. Gently press it onto the jaw, cheeks, and temples.

Apply Mandarin & Grape Hydrating Elixir Toner to the skin with a cotton pad.

Gently pat 3 – 4 drops of Sensi Peptide Hydration Serum onto the face and neck. Follow with a finishing product appropriate for the skin type if needed. You can also use any beauty machine for serum penetration.

Apply a few pumps of Youthful Apple Steam Cell Cream.

Apply Collagen & Peptides Youth Eye Elixir sparingly to the eye contours.

Instruct the client to avoid direct sunlight, excessive heat, or sweating for 24 hours to guard against increased susceptibility to sun sensitivity following this procedure.
